You Are Welcome at St. Peter's!

St. Peter's has been strengthened throughout the years by the many newcomers who have joined our worshiping community. At St. Peter's we welcome all visitors, and we want all newcomers to feel a part of our congregation from the very beginning.

Please make yourself known to us when you first come to St. Peter's. Don't be shy! Introduce yourself to the Rector and come to the Coffee Hour after the 10 a.m. Sunday service.

Cards are in the pews for you to complete when you visit St. Peter's. Please fill in the information and place the card in the offering plate. The Rector or someone from the Membership Committee will get in touch with you as soon as possible.

It is important to note that about half of our congregation comes from outside Mountain Lakes. The growth in numbers of these parishioners adds a great diversity to the Parish and brings creativity into all our ministries.

    Getting to Know Our Congregation

St. Peter's generally reflects the character of the communities it serves. It is moderately conservative in its views toward liturgy and is outgoing in its reception of newcomers to the congregation.

St. Peter's is blessed with parishioners who are enthusiastic and participate actively in Parish ministries. The leadership at St. Peter's is strong and broad-based, and the congregation is a great source of strength and support to its Rector.

Families from outside Mountain Lakes live in nearby towns in Morris County such as Boonton and Boonton Township, Denville, Parsippany, Kinnelon and Morris Plains. Parishioners from outside Mountain Lakes have contributed greatly to the growth of St. Peter's in recent years.
