Altar Guild...
Make a
Sunday in 2008 a special one for a friend or someone in your family!
Why not recognize a special celebration
or memorialize a loved one on a Sunday in 2008? You can do this by
making a Sunday Flower Memorial donation to the Altar Guild. Two
lovely arrangements of flowers will be placed on the Altar on the
Sunday of your choice, and the occasion will be noted in the
bulletin on that Sunday.
You can obtain a spot on the calendar by calling Cindy Shaw or
e-mailing her at the church at
stpeter2@optonline.net
and she will add you to the list. Cost
for a Sunday memorial is $40

Encourage your
children to bring one item each week for the Food Pantry.
A lot of
small donations will make a big difference in the lives of hungry

If you were at the Pastoral Care Committee's April lunch
at the Mountain Lakes Club you know you
want to come again, and if you missed it you've no doubt heard that you
missed a good party! So plan to be there May 27, as this is now
officially the Tuesday Club, meeting the fourth Tuesday of the month,
and anybody who would enjoy some informal noonday fun and conversation
is welcome! More details to come.
The Pastoral Care Committee will help and/or
support members of our church family in case of illness or any other kind of
distress. If you know of
anyone who would welcome the committee's attention, please call the chairman, Roberta
Rigger; the co-chairman, Sue Finney or any member of the committee.
If needed, a priest can be made available. Committee members are
Laura Lee Carrico, Betty Coan, Cathy Harvey, Nancy Molloy, Phil
Notestine, Mary Belle Preston, Ruth Reade and Marji Storrs. Any
committee member will be happy to respond to a call.
